ILAN EL to Showcase Collectible Designs at Melbourne Design Fair

We’re pleased to announce our participation at the upcoming Melbourne Design Fair. The event is scheduled to take place on 18-22 May 2023 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

ILAN EL will showcase their latest designs:

SUPERNOVA - An assemblage of luminous and obscure facets, shining bright like a powerful stellar explosion captured in a frozen moment. A 1.5m diameter parametrically designed brass luminaire will be exhibited for the first time.

FLASH - A sculptural pendant that evokes the electrifying power of a lightning bolt shooting down from the sky in a series of bold strokes. A minimal and striking piece charged with energy. A 1.5m tall brass double-pendant luminaire will be exhibited for the first time.

ORA 2.0 - The new edition to the original piece commissioned by NGV and exhibited at the 2020 Triennial featuring a 1.2m diameter illuminated wall eclipse. Inspired by Optical Art and human perception of colour, the ORA 2.0 features a dual inner and outer glow.

LUMINISM - A Slow art triptych featuring the horizon at Port Phillip Bay animated in coloured illumination. The work invites the viewer to experience radiating coloured light by evoking meditative stillness. Separated from the viewer, a once static image sets stillness in motion through a synergistic immersion in transparent colour.
