“Re:” is an innovative exhibition that celebrates the art of transformation, showcasing a curated collection of recycled and repurposed items gathered over 15 years of running ILANEL, a design studio dedicated to creativity and sustainability.
The exhibition explores the potential of discarded materials and objects, breathing new life into them through thoughtful design and craftsmanship. The concept of “Re:”—short for Reimagine, Repurpose, and Recycle—invites viewers to reflect on the value of what is often overlooked, embracing the beauty of imperfection and the stories embedded in each piece.
Every exhibit tells a tale of renewal, from industrial offcuts reimagined into sculptural lighting to material leftovers transformed into functional art.
Set within Glowing Structures gallery, the show is designed to evoke curiosity and connection, “Re:” challenges conventional notions of waste and design. Visitors are encouraged to engage with the items on display, not only as art but as functional objects that can find a new purpose in their lives. As all exhibits will be available for purchase, “Re:” also aims to foster a meaningful dialogue about consumerism and sustainability, offering an opportunity for visitors to invest in unique, eco-conscious creations.
Each bespoke piece serves as a reminder of the potential to create beauty and utility from the discarded and forgotten. “Re:” is more than an exhibition; it’s a call to action, inspiring both designers and audiences to rethink our relationship with materials, consumption, and creativity. Through this program, ILANEL seeks to celebrate 15 years of innovation while looking toward a sustainable future.
